About this event
The city's summer takeover of its waterfronts, running to 30 August. Deckchairs, concerts, open-air cinema, craft and fitness sessions, and — the part still hard to believe — free supervised swimming in the Seine at Bras Marie, Bercy and Grenelle. The 2026 edition is themed around the United States for the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Why we picked it
Swimming in the Seine, for free, is the most improbable thing on offer in Paris this summer, and the programme around it costs nothing either.
Free entry
Entirely free — activities, deckchairs and supervised swimming
Registration
Registration needed
None; swimming sites operate on capacity and lifeguard hours
A third-party event from official public listings, checked by Glentio. Programmes can change — confirm on the organiser's site.
