A musical fresco of the patriotic composers writing around 1800, at the Francis Poulenc conservatoire in the sixteenth. Free, booking advised. Repertoire you will not often hear programmed, played by students who have clearly been told why it matters. An hour and a half, with spoken introductions between pieces.
