About this event
In 1970 the city commissioned photographers to document every street in Paris before it changed. The BHVP has built an exhibition and a run of talks around that vast archive, and it closes on 7 October. If you want to know what your favourite corner of the Marais looked like before the galleries arrived, this is the primary source, shown in a seventeenth-century hôtel particulier.
Why we picked it
A city-archive exhibition with real research behind it, in a beautiful Marais building, free and about to close.
Free entry
City of Paris open data records the event with price_type «gratuit»; price_detail adds «Réservation via la page dédiée à chacun des évènements» for the talks.
