About this event
Louis Couperin was organist at Saint-Gervais before the more famous François took the post, and four centuries after his birth the church marks it with a concert made in partnership with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles. Hearing this repertoire in the building it was written for, on a Saturday evening in the Marais, is about as close to time travel as a free ticket gets.
Why we picked it
Serious baroque programming with a Versailles imprimatur, staged in the church where the composer actually worked, at no cost.
