About this event
Ramon Llull built a combinatorial reasoning machine on Mallorca in the thirteenth century, and people have been arguing about whether it counts as a prototype for artificial intelligence ever since. This free lecture at Can Balaguer makes the case, in Spanish, in a restored townhouse five minutes from Plaça Major. Capacity is limited, so arrive early.
Why we picked it
Mallorca's own medieval polymath read as a forerunner of AI — free, central, and genuinely unusual.
