About this event
The first total solar eclipse over mainland Spain and the Balearics in more than a century, arriving low over the sea at sunset. The Govern has designated official free observation zones across Mallorca, including Platja de Palma, with stewarding, parking and emergency cover. Totality lasts about a minute and a half at 20:31; the partial phase opens at 19:38. Certified ISO 12312-2 glasses are essential and are not automatically supplied.
