About this event
Luis Salvador Moll Fernández-Figares, of Spain's Royal Academy of Jurisprudence, argues that Ramon Llull's Ars Magna — a thirteenth-century Mallorcan combinatorial system — sits at the root of both humanism and artificial intelligence. Part of Can Balaguer's autumn cycle 'Connexió amb el patrimoni de Palma. Llull, Cort i els castells'. In Spanish, in one of Palma's finest restored townhouses.
Why we picked it
Llull as the ancestor of AI, argued in the house museum on carrer de la Unió — free entry, and a genuinely unusual way into Palma's own intellectual history.
