While mainstream papers looked away or spread panic, a parallel world of queer newspapers, magazines and zines carried the AIDS crisis in print. Designer and zine publisher Dan Rhatigan brings images and physical copies from his own archive to trace that visual language — sombre, subversive, frequently graphic — and how it fought to be seen.
