A weekday volunteer morning on the Queens waterfront, in the salt marsh and meadow planting of Hunter's Point South Park. Two hours of stewardship directly opposite midtown Manhattan, tools provided, nothing needed beyond closed shoes and a willingness to get muddy. The skyline view is free either way.
