About this event
The Sunday session of the Dredgers' free walk-up paddling: turn up at the 2nd Street boathouse, sign a waiver, take a canoe onto the Gowanus Canal. No experience needed and nothing to book. Wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle and pack a layer for the breeze coming off the water. One of Brooklyn's genuinely singular afternoons.
Why we picked it
Same free canal paddling on the Sunday, which suits weekend visitors who spend Saturday elsewhere in the city.
Free entry
Organiser titles the event "FREE Walk-Up Paddling" on its own calendar and detail page. Minors require a guardian's signature and all participants must sign a waiver.
