About this event
Once a month the Whitney is free all day, not just after five. Second Sundays are the family-friendly edition: daylight on the terraces, gallery tours through the afternoon, and the full run of exhibitions including the Whitney Biennial 2026. Free tickets are released roughly a month ahead and the day is popular, so reserve.
Why we picked it
A whole day rather than an evening, which makes the Biennial genuinely unhurried and free.
Free entry
"Admission to the Whitney is free all day on the second Sunday of every month."
