About this event
Mano a Mano builds a large community ofrenda in the East Village and opens it for two days of regional Mexican folk music, craft workshops — paper marigolds, commemorative pins — and a Mexican marketplace. Visitors are invited to bring unframed, unlaminated photographs of their own dead to add to the altar, which is what turns this from a display into a shared act of remembrance.
