About this event
New York's Polish-American community marches up Fifth Avenue from 41st Street in honour of General Casimir Pulaski, the cavalry officer who died fighting for American independence. The line-up runs to marching bands, folk-costume groups, floats, classic cars, motorcycle clubs, first responders and elected officials. It is the second-oldest ethnic parade in the city's history and free to watch from the kerb.
Why we picked it
One of New York's oldest ethnic parades, and a free front-row seat on Fifth Avenue.
