About this event
The city projects a film onto the 7,000-square-foot wall of the New World Center and the lawn in front of it becomes an open-air cinema. October opens with Gregory Nava's 1997 Selena, the Tejano biopic that made Jennifer Lopez a star and still lands differently in a Spanish-speaking city. Bring a blanket; the sound system is the same one the symphony uses.
Why we picked it
A 131-minute Latin music biopic shown free under the palms, in the city that understands it best.
