About this event
Europe's largest street festival takes over west London for the August bank holiday weekend. Sunday is Families and Children's Day, gentler and better suited to younger visitors; Monday is Adults Day, when the full mas bands, sound systems and Caribbean food stalls come out. Both days are free to all — no ticket, no wristband, just turn up early and follow the bass.
Why we picked it
The defining free event of the London summer, drawing over two million people, and the two carnival days themselves cost nothing to attend.
Free entry
The organiser states Sunday and Monday are free to all. Saturday 29 August (steel band competition) is ticket-only and is excluded here.
Registration
