via Suomenlinnaseura ry (Residents' Association of Suomenlinna) via City of Helsinki Linked Events API · Checked 29 Jul 2026
About this event
Every summer evening a lone musician climbs the lighthouse-church tower on Suomenlinna and sounds the traditional taptoe across the fortress at nine, preceded around 20:50 by a piece of the player's own choosing. It lasts a quarter of an hour and carries over the water. The 2026 season ends on 31 July, so these are the last two nights.
Why we picked it
A fifteen-minute island ritual that turns a UNESCO sea fortress into an open-air concert hall, and it ends on 31 July.
