About this event
Jazz for Kids puts professional musicians in front of the youngest possible audience at child-friendly volume, and this instalment belongs to Viba, the project of singer-songwriter Virva Immonen, whose Finnish-language music folds alt-pop and poetry into jazz. Forty-five minutes, everyone from babies to grandparents welcome, in Annantalo's accessible halls.
Why we picked it
Real musicians playing their own material to small children, free, rather than a children's-entertainment pastiche. The series is one of Helsinki's quiet successes.
Free entry
City of Helsinki open event data records the event's offer as "is_free": true; the series description welcomes "kaikki vauvoista vaareihin" (everyone from babies to grandfathers).
