About this event
Ancient historian Martin Zimmermann presents his book on ruined cities from Troy to Pompeii in conversation with archaeologist Hermann Parzinger. His argument is that the nostalgia modern visitors feel at these sites is itself modern, and that antiquity saw its own ruins quite differently. A free evening at the Thyssen foundation, in German.
