About this event
Chicago's after-dark Halloween parade returns for its 12th year, moving back to its larger original route along Columbus Drive. Expect giant spectacle puppets, lantern-lit floats, dancers, musicians and costumed performers from the city's arts organisations, with food trucks and vendors along the route. Organisers expect more than 100,000 spectators, and costumes are encouraged.
Why we picked it
Downtown Chicago's biggest Halloween spectacle, built by the city's own artists and puppeteers and free to watch.
