About this event
Anton Zimmermann shaped musical life in 1770s Pozsony and two of his symphonies were long filed under Haydn's name. The Zimmermann Ensemble plays his rarely heard violin sonatas alongside a Haydn trio, on period terms: the harpsichord leads and the strings accompany. A quietly revealing hour for anyone curious what Central European classicism sounded like outside the famous names.
