About this event
Hungary's national day closes with what the organisers bill as Europe's largest fireworks display, staged along a 1.5km stretch of the Danube between Margaret Bridge and the Chain Bridge and combined with drone choreography and building projections onto Parliament, the National Gallery and Gellert Hill. Hundreds of thousands line both embankments; the Buda side and Gellert Hill give the wider view, the Pest quay the closer one.
