About this event
Margaret Island is given over to two days of sport, play and concerts aimed at families: try-out sessions with clubs and federations, stages with daytime music, and the island's usual running track, fountains and shade. It is the calmest of the national-holiday venues, well away from the embankment crush, and easy to combine with the fireworks later on the 20th.
