About this event
Hungary's national day closes with the biggest free spectacle in the country: a choreographed fireworks and light show fired along the Danube, then repeated once so the riverbanks can absorb the crowds. Afterwards the Parliament and the Chain Bridge stay illuminated into the small hours. Stake out a spot on the embankment or a Buda hillside well before nine o'clock.
