About this event
A Sunday-afternoon concert devoted to József Sári, one of the more uncompromising voices in late twentieth-century Hungarian composition. Memorial programmes at BMC tend to be assembled by players who knew the composer, which gives them an authority a festival retrospective rarely manages. Falls on the morning the clocks go back, so check the hour before setting out.
Why we picked it
A free Sunday-afternoon slot — the easiest kind of concert to drop into — honouring a major Hungarian composer.
