About this event
Hundreds of craftspeople set up across the Buda Castle district for Hungary's largest folk art fair, alongside folk dance and music stages, regional food, and the Fabatka playground for children. The new bread blessing, the traditional centrepiece of the national holiday, takes place at 15:00 on 20 August. Entry to the whole festival is free.
Why we picked it
Four days of free programming in the castle district covering crafts, music, food and children's activities, with the national day's most photogenic ritual at its centre.
Free entry
Entry to the festival is free; crafts and food are purchased separately.
