Ferencvaros throws open its main square for a three-day neighbourhood festival, now in its eleventh year: exhibitions, live music, performances, workshops and family activities laid out around the church at Bakats ter. It is the sort of local celebration that gives you a read on how Budapest actually lives, rather than how it presents itself to visitors.
