About this event
Bucharest hands its grandest boulevard back to pedestrians every weekend, and the Assumption holiday weekend is one of the liveliest. Calea Victoriei fills with street theatre, dance, concerts, parades, children's workshops and pop-up sports courts from mid-morning until late. New for 2026, the car-free zone stretches onto Strada Ion Brezoianu near Cișmigiu, giving the promenade an extra loop to wander.
Why we picked it
The single easiest free thing to do in Bucharest on a summer weekend, and it lands on the 15 August public holiday.
