About this event
Bucharest's grandest boulevard closes to traffic for the weekend and fills with programmed activity. Piața Revoluției hosts table tennis, basketball, badminton, football and floor hockey from 10:00 to 22:00; by Kretzulescu Church there are interactive science demos from Profesorii Trăsniți at 11:00, a bracelet and keychain workshop, and open-air canvas painting by the Bucharest Plastic Artists Association from noon to 19:00.
Why we picked it
The city's flagship summer street programme, and the easiest way to see Calea Victoriei's architecture without dodging cars. Sport, science and art in one walkable strip.
Free entry
Public street programme on a pedestrianised public road, organised by ARCUB / Bucharest City Hall; no ticketing or admission charge is applied to any of the listed activities. Note: the ARCUB pages describe the activities without printing an explicit 'intrare liberă' line.
