On the first Thursday of each month the Neue Nationalgalerie drops admission from 16:00 to 20:00. Everything opens: the special exhibitions in Mies van der Rohe's glass upper hall and the collection presentations below, plus an expanded programme of tours, workshops and free live events. Evening light through the glass box is reason enough to time your visit for this.
