About this event
For ten nights the festival's 22nd edition, themed »Colours of Love«, projects light art onto Berlin's landmarks and facades, with a core viewing window of 19:00 to 23:00. The illuminations are seen from the street and cost nothing; walking the route yourself is the whole event. Around three million people attended the 2025 edition.

Free to view the illuminations — the festival's Keyfacts page states "Eintritt: kostenlos für Besucherinnen und Besucher". Note that add-on strands are NOT free: LightSeeing tours are sold separately, as is the 13–17 October music programme (Alle Farben, Klangkarussell, Westbam and others). Only the public light installations are free.
