About this event
A neighbourhood volleyball tournament run as part of the Esquerra de l'Eixample street festival, played in mixed teams of six on the open courts at Parc de Joan Miró. Solo players and short-handed teams are merged into new sides on the day, and the organisers are explicit that every level is welcome — beginners included. Five hours of play, then the festa carries on.
Why we picked it
Genuinely participatory rather than spectator sport, free, and open to anyone who turns up alone — exactly the kind of low-barrier local event that shows a newcomer how a Barcelona barri actually works.
Free entry
The organiser's page states "Gratuït, inscripció prèvia al qr" — free, with prior sign-up.
