About this event
Barcelona's oldest festa major, run without a break since 1589 and listed as a heritage festival of national interest. Five days on Placa Nova bring correfocs, gegants gatherings, habaneres, the cucanya greasy-pole and porro llarg contests, workshops and open-air dancing. The 2026 edition also marks the 120th anniversary of the festival's giants. Everything happens outdoors in front of the Cathedral.
