About this event
Barcelona's oldest festa major turns 437 this year, held on the small square facing the cathedral. Five days of gegants, ball de bastons, esbarts, children's workshops, habaneras, concerts and dance nights, plus the cucanya game and the famously long porro. It closes on 16 August with the Gothic Quarter devils' correfoc and a fireworks castle. Shaded areas and water are provided during peak heat.
