Stavros Papagiannis takes his title from André Breton and the surrealist idea of beauty as something caught permanently between attraction and repulsion. The new series picks at how an image gets built and then received — the machinery behind looking, with text pulled into the frame alongside it. Opening evening on the first Friday of October, then two weeks of quiet gallery hours.
