About this event
The museum's winter free-Sunday scheme — every first and third Sunday of the month from 1 November to 31 March — begins on 1 November, which is itself a first Sunday. Twelve hours of free access to the national collection on the opening day of the scheme, and the last day of this window.
Why we picked it
Two things land on one date: the winter free-Sunday scheme starts, and 1 November is November's first Sunday — so it is free, and it is the reason to tell readers the scheme now exists.
Free entry
Free entry for all visitors — the museum's own visit page lists 'κάθε πρώτη και τρίτη Κυριακή του μήνα από 1η Νοεμβρίου έως 31 Μαρτίου' among the dates when admission is free for everyone. 1 Nov 2026 is a Sunday and is both the scheme's start and November's first Sunday.
