The park's open-air theatre has worked the same way since 1974: free entry, wooden benches, whatever the Amsterdam sky decides. Friday belongs to dance, with choreographer Pedro Ricardo Henry. Saturday, as the Canal Parade empties, BOLLOX play the afternoon slot and comedians Juliet and Gavin Reijnders take the evening — a useful escape valve when the canals turn impassable.
