About this event
The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra opens a rehearsal in the Grote Zaal, with Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 25 among the music on the stands. Hearing an orchestra of this rank stop, correct itself and start again is a different experience from a concert, and it happens in the main hall rather than the chamber room.
Why we picked it
The one October lunch concert in the Grote Zaal, and an open rehearsal of the Concertgebouw Orchestra playing Beethoven's Fifth - the most compelling free ticket in the city this month.
Free entry
Listed by the hall under "Gefilterd op Gratis Lunchconcerten" and titled "Gratis Lunchconcert: Openbare repetitie Concertgebouworkest".
