V International Cochran Music Festival
The 5th edition of the International Cochran Music Festival will take place on Monday, 30 November, at 7:00 PM at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw. This special evening will celebrate the music of Julian Cochran, an Australian composer, pianist and mathematician, who will be travelling all the way from Adelaide to attend the event in person. Cochran’s music draws inspiration from the Romantic and Impressionist traditions, as well as European folk music, combining expressive melodies with rich harmonies. His works have been performed at prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Now, his music will also be heard in Warsaw. The festival stage will bring together outstanding artists from Poland and abroad. The Belgian Ryelandt Trio, featuring Pieter-Jan Verhoyen, Jeroen De Beer and Pieter-Jan De Smet, will perform alongside distinguished pianists Piotr Grelowski and Tomasz Kłeczek. The concert programme will feature solo and chamber works by Julian Cochran, including world premieres of new compositions by the composer. The 5th edition of the International Cochran Music Festival coincides with another special milestone: the 10th anniversary of the Julian Cochran Foundation. Founded in Warsaw in 2016, the Foundation has been dedicated to promoting classical music through artistic, educational and scholarship initiatives in Poland and abroad. Over the past decade, it has organised nearly 1,000 cultural events. 📅 30 November 2026 | 7:00 PM 📍 Studio Koncertowe Polskiego Radia im. Witolda Lutosławskiego, Warszawa
