The Galerie du 19M devotes its autumn show to Maison Michel, the Parisian milliner whose hats have shaped couture silhouettes for a century. Métamorphoses follows the making — blocking, steaming, trimming — as much as the finished pieces, inside the striking 19M building on the northern edge of the city that houses the craft ateliers behind French fashion.
