Chopin and George Sand spent the winter of 1838-39 on Mallorca, and the island has been arguing about it ever since. Palma's city council and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw have built an exhibition around that stay — landscape paintings from the Museu de Mallorca, copper kitchenware, glass domes of flowers, and the Warsaw museography including a large painting of the composer's final hours at the piano.
