For a run of summer Wednesdays the Museum of the City of New York stays open late and drops admission entirely from five until nine, with a pop-up bar running alongside the galleries. You can take a drink round exhibitions about the city's own history — a museum that is, unusually, about the ground you are standing on, at the quiet uptown corner of Central Park.
