Sobre este evento
Turn up at the Dredgers' 2nd Street boathouse, get a life jacket, a paddle and a short safety briefing, and take a canoe out on the Gowanus for a self-guided trip. No experience needed. There is an audio tour covering the canal's industrial history and its long, contested cleanup if you want the context while you drift.
Por qué lo elegimos
Getting onto the water in New York usually costs real money; this is a volunteer-run club handing you a canoe for nothing, on the city's most notorious waterway.
Entrada gratuita
Organiser calendar lists the session as "FREE Walk-Up Paddling – 2nd St." at 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm; New York Family's listing states cost "Free".
