Queens Botanical Garden's compost staff open their demonstration site for a morning of weeding, mulching, planting and spreading finished compost, with a tour of how the system works. It doubles as a practical introduction to composting for anyone who wants to start at home. Gloves are supplied; dress for the weather and bring water. Outdoors throughout.
