Madrid's official gathering point for the 12 August solar eclipse, in a wide, open park in the north of the city. Note the city proper sits just outside the band of totality and sees a very deep partial eclipse; the totality band crosses the northern Comunidad de Madrid through Tres Cantos, Colmenar Viejo and Alcala de Henares. The Planetario de Madrid and city libraries are distributing free certified eclipse glasses beforehand.
