The V&A's lunchtime lecture series turns to kantha and kawandi — the running-stitch quilts of Bengal and the patched quilts of India's Siddi communities, both made from worn-out cloth. A single expert hour drawn from the museum's own textile holdings, and a good excuse to spend the rest of the afternoon in the galleries upstairs.
