On the first Thursday of each month the Neue Nationalgalerie opens every special exhibition and its entire collection free of charge from four until eight in the evening, with an accompanying programme of talks and live events. Mies van der Rohe's glass hall is worth the trip on its own. Book a free timed-entry slot online — walk-ups work, but the queue does not.
