Berlin's oldest quarter turns into an open-air stage for two days, with cabaret artists, live music, acrobatics and walking acts weaving through its cobbled lanes. A dedicated children's programme brings circus performers and clowns to the Nikolaikirche square. Entry to the festival itself is free, though the adjoining city museum offers a separate paid combi-ticket for its historic buildings.
