Trnfest is one of Ljubljana's most beloved summer culture programmes, run annually by the KUD France Preseren arts centre in the leafy Trnovo quarter. Across several weeks it mixes concerts, theatre, dance, film, visual art and hands-on workshops for all ages, featuring Slovenian and international performers. The atmosphere is intimate and community-minded, and admission to the courtyard events is traditionally free.
