About this event
The Southbank Centre marks 75 years of the steel pan in the UK with a three-day, almost entirely free celebration. Friday brings youth ensembles to the Riverside Terrace, Saturday a high-energy line-up of UK steel bands from calypso to modern arrangements, and Sunday a full day of the country's finest steel bands on the new Jubilee Gardens stage. It is a joyful, family-friendly outdoor riverside festival.
