Valencia sits inside the path of totality, and the city has designated a stretch of Malvarrosa and Cabanyal beach as its official viewing point for around 10,000 people, with a clear sea horizon for a sun that hangs very low at totality. Free certified glasses have been handed out since 3 August, and extra EMT buses, medics and information panels are laid on.
